newsletter drop! from popular demand. thank u to everyone who has been reminding me to make this issue. i hope u had no issue (XD) with the wait time. so let’s go over 10 things!!

thing #1: something i learnt

i learnt about this in science! i may have already pestered you about this but if i haven’t: do this with your hands.

okay now rearrange your hands so that the opposite thumb is on top (like if you had your left thumb on top when you first did it you would change to your right.) which is most comfortable?

IF LEFT OVER RIGHT IS THE MOST COMFORTABLE FOR YOU THEN WE ARE COMPATIBLE HAND HOLDERS!! IF RIGHT OVER LEFT IS THE MOST COMFORTABLE FOR YOU THEN WE ARE no longer friends. jk. or am i. hand holding is pretty important :/ anyway it makes sense because when you are hand holding with your left hand the other person is holding your hand with their right and if you are pro left over right and they are also pro left over right YOU can be the left over their right and vice versa. so you guys can’t have different hand holding comfort otherwise one of you will always feel uncomfortable holding hands. it is a #genetic thing gang!

thing #2: something i’m looking forward to

LUNAR NEW YEAR!!! i am ready to receive money i am not able to use! #represent!!! none of you know which asian i am but its ok because i am basically a big enough figurehead to represent the whole of asia. 

how are you guys feeling about the new year!!! you can’t respond to this email but you can respond in your head as i am a masterful mind reader as well as an enthusiast of feeling. if you do not celebrate lunar new year i already know because i read your darn mind mary!

thing #3: funny things i’m saying

if you have been around me in the past 2 weeks or so you will have known about my recent infatuation with the word “gang”. if you have not it is because you are not paying me in attention but instead in money so please remember to pay up before the next tax season as i am aiming for a more substantial return than last year ($0). back to gang! it is just a really versatile word that i can fit into a lot of sentences, per example (read as per exam-pluh, thanks french people!) oh my gang. if you could not tell because you are not gang enough, gang is used in place of the typical god or golly gosh. so thanks gang and remember to gang up! (gang is used in place of pay, it is a double entendre as it can also be interpreted as adding “gang” to your arsenal of words)

thing #4: fun fact about me

i played genshin mostly in 2022. i got into it in april and got out of it in december-ish. let’s take a look at my overall playtime!

2389 hours. 99 days. 3 months. Not even counting the time on my school laptop. I spent 3 months in 2022 on Genshin Impact. If you’re wondering how this was possible, so am I 😓

thing #5: a funny thing someone said

this week the special someone is michelle (the one without the mask) who said “GANG U SUCK AT RESPONDING” on Discord today at 20:18! it is funny because it is not true. especially given my tendency to be on the platform every. waking. hour! everyone is aware of my jawdropping-ly speedy response times - including michelle i am sure. thanks michelle! see i didn’t ss our dms this time

thing #6: something i like

i watched bottoms a week or so ago!!

it was quite funny and #relatable like when they kill everyone (not true). you should all give it a watch, of course only if you have other means of telling the time. i really like hazel she is so gang. 

thing #7: someone i like

ruby! ruby is so nice and like so pro at manners. also she is like pro job-ing and pro netball-ing which is tres kakkoii!! also she helps my class stand out with her blonde-ness 😋 ruby is very gang. do YOU know ruby? i do btw #flex

thing #8: something i am mad about

i am mad about like omg so my friend had this encounter on the train and it was so not gang. when they were like eating noodles an elderly lady walked up to them FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE TRAIN to say “young people have no manners”. LIKE WHAT?? she must’ve been like so bored and like without #pride. the fact that my friend just had to sit and deal with it is so #frustrating. have you had any similar altercations on public transport?

thing #9: something i am doing

thing #10: why am i doing this

for fun! obviously. i guess i first thought about it on like my 15th rewatch of brooklyn nine nine where they mention the daily boyle email blasts. and i thought, “wow that sounds obnoxious. hey, i’m obnoxious!” and sought out what exactly an email blast entailed. i still do not know. but after i realised that a newsletter might be fun and kind of like has the same idea as an email blast, i think!

so, that was ten things! was that a long read? you can give me feedback here: no you can’t. i can’t take criticism <3 well i guess you could heavily sugar coat it but that’s besides the point. if you see me in person soon i suppose i could tolerate some feedback. it has to be in person so i can hit you if i am offended. not joking.
