i can’t stop saying gyatt town,

guys this is literally just party edition 😭 so spoiler warning! this one is a bit long because it like involves my unedited recollections of what we did on my birthday. also like do you pronounce albeit like al be it instead of al bite? i always thought it was al bite. i have never felt more betrayed. ever! actually i did after minecraft 1.8.9. i don’t have skill!

thing #1: circles

YK WHAT I HATE? THOSE STUPID CIRCLE AROUND MAPS IN OSU. LIKE YEAH I KNOW OSU IS ALL ABOUT CIRCLES BUT THAT DOESNT MEAN I WANT TO CHASE CIRCLES IN A CIRCLE LIKE I AM NOT INTO THAT LEVEL OF META-NESS. not that im any good at osu! disclaimer!!! i like got into osu for like 3 days in 2020 and then stopped when i realised my hand to eye coordination would not let me progress in skill further! and then i like started playing again in 2023 WITH THE TRACKPAD so like i feel as though that counts for SO MUCH SKILL okay so you can say “wow nicole you are so skillful when it comes to that game about clicking circles” and i will say “yeah i know” because i know.

thing #2: genshin

i genuinely connect so many things to genshin in my head it is like so helpful. my most recent, important description was one i believed i had to share. so i did, “studying is like artifact farming but sleeping is like levelling talents”. DO YOU GET IT?? DO YOU GET IT? ok before reading my explanation try to get it.

i guess im not beating the insanity allegations anytime soon.. yes i do have a life! i hope you appreciate how im using it <3 anyway please keep my inspirational words in mind whenever youre sacrificing sleep to study. omg setara literally will wake up at 3am or whatever to study for a maths test like you are not going to retain any of that girl! well u might but u will at least be grumpy about it.

thing #3: arcade

guys you dont understand how powerful i felt. swiping the card on all the activities. sitting on a throne. UGH!!! RICH BLISS!! omg i got so tired from like taiko like hitting is so hard and omg gambling at the wheel of fortune !!! genshin player alert!!! omg and THAT STUPID GAME WHERE U HAVE TO GET THE BALLS IN THE LITTLE LIKE CYLINDER 😠 i still have so much left over credit so let me know if any of you guys want to hit the arcade again!! omg and all our eggs and macarons!! STOP OK THE WAY JESSICA LIKE COULD FULLY STAY ON THE DRUM GAME FOR SO LONG LIKE I WAS EXHAUSTED IN 2 SONGS BUT JESSICA LITERALLY WAS STILL GOING STRONG AT LIKE 10!! omg and me and grace did ddr and like WHY DO I SUCK AT DDR? NO YOU KNOW WHAT GRACE KEPT SAYING “how does nicole manage to suck at every game in the arcade?” AND HONESTLY. I THINK SHE IS RIGHT 😭 MY DDR SKILLS LEAVE MUCH TO BE DESIRED. AND MY LIKE PUNCHING SKILLS EVERYONE ELSE GOT 8000-9000 POINTS BUT I LITERALLY GOT 5000 LIKE WHAT THE HELL HOW DID I GET LESS THAN LIKE JENNIFER UGH! omg vidhi and mischa were so cool on guitar hero (even though they didnt score great 😆 STOP AND MISCHA WAS PLAYING WITH THIS GUY AND SHE DIDNT ASK HIM OUT UGH UGH UGH “HE’S AN ADULT” NO HE LITERALLY WAS A TEENAGER WHAT THE HECK! OMG THE PIANO TILES LIKE KEPT REJECTING ME TOO. LIKE WTH I WAS HITTING THEM RIGHT?? WHY DID ALL THE GAMES TREAT ME LIKE TRASH??? whatever 😠 OMG BUT I WAS GOOD AT PINBALL!! AT LEAST 😭 omg like so much happened it was so fun!!! AAAAA I WISH WE HAD INFINITE TIME THAT DAY EVERYTHING WAS SO GREAT!! 

thing #4: escape room (casino heist)

omg literally L to everyone in the other room LIKE ok wait let me explain we split into two groups and like we did a different room to each other AND LIKE THE GROUP I WAS NOT IN DID NOT MAKE IT OUT!! LIKE LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL 😆 THANK U TO EVERYONE IN MY GROUP FOR BEING SO TEAM!! GRACE, MIA, MICHELLE, MISCHA, VIDHI !!! and most importantly ME!!! god im so cool. okay so like scroll if you dont want spoilers for the escape room! basically we started off in this small room with a slot machine, a thing on the wall with like cards and velcro for blackjack, a poker table and like that one dice game table. it was very much casino vibed!! me and vidhi focused on the blackjack wall!!  so basically there were like 4 rows of cards we had to stick mathematical operations on the velcro parts to make sure all the rows made 21 (blackjack!) and then we had the last number (6)! well that was what we thought until we realised 28 - 21 = 7 and not 6. and on the side of the blackjack part we had like this umm explanation of like the floors in the casino?? so like floor 7 had pools and there was this box with like a lock and u had to put a word in it so vidhi was super smart and realised omg ! pools is the same amount of letters and she put it in and it unlocked revealing jeff and zach’s scrabble things! omg wait ok the scrabble things were on the poker table ok so like there were these poker hands for two people and like their labels for the hands were scrabble tiles and you know with scrabble tiles theres like a number in the bottom right? so we were really confused before we opened the box bc we only knew two people’s hands and like neither of their numbers were working with the lock! there was like a sheet saying that we had to put in the numbers of whoever had the highest hand, and another saying the person with the highest hand was jeff i think? or whatever it was. BUT THEN WE OPENED THE BOX! WHICH HAD JEFF’S NUMBERS!!! and they were the right numbers!! for the lock!!! YAY MISCHA!! and MICHELLE!!! who i think undid that lock but my memory is memories!! omg it was so cool!!! and in that box i think was like hmm remembering remembering i think a card that explained what we needed from the slot machine? as well as the crown jewels explanation? oh yeah the point of the room was that we had to get the crown jewels and escape!! okay and we did like the dice game table i think we got liek a card from that explaining the slot machine too?? i dont exactly remember what we did with the dice game BUT THANK U TO THE GANG WHO FIGURED IT OUT FOR THE COLLECTIVE GANG!! okay and then we were like confused on the slot machine which was our key to like doing the door code to get into the next room!! but then we realised from the cards we got previously we needed to put the bet amount (200) with the amount of pyramids we saw. a video of the slot game was replaying and we had to count the amount of pyramids we saw in the like 30 second ish thing and there was 8!!! yay!!! 2008!!! and then we got into the next room hooray!!! the room had like a bartender-y part and like a roulette game thing! vidhi, grace and mia n worked on the bartender part and mischa and michelle worked on the roulette part and i was a bit useless in this part! yay!!!!! omg also mia n like did peace signs at the camera it was totemo funny!! okay so we had like a menu of all the drinks and there were like cups, ice and like shakers on the bartender table and like we eventually figured out that the cups were all ingredients of one of the drinks on the menu, so we ordered the cups in the order they were listed on the menu!! and inside the cups there were chips i think with numbers on them that unlocked like a safe with more of the roulette cards in it. oh wait i need to explain the roulette thing okay so there were a bunch of game cards that we put in chronological order, there was like roulette stuff on them all and like since the roulette table had like the board we put down the tokens we had in the way they were shown on the cards. we actually couldnt figure this part out ? so like we just used up one of our clues + answers. OMG VIDHI WAS LIKE so mad 😭 bc the clue we got for this one was a bit useless bc we already like did the thing it was asking for!! i was mad too bc like THAT ADDED 2 EXTRA MINUTES TO OUR TIME LIKE SCREW YOU!!! okay so since we got the answer for like the code we put it in and went into the next room WHICH HAD LIKE SECURITY! so if we went past the line we woul get lasered and caught. MICHELLE WENT PAST A FEW TIMES!! but luckily she didnt like stay past too long! okay so in this room um we previously got like information that we had to like use a uv light so we used the uv light we found in the room and there were like a bunch of safes with fingerprints on them and like next to the safe on the wall which we needed to access there was like a signature sheet that was dated with the numbers of some of the safes, the names of the safe owners and the dates they signed in. on 4 of the safes there were fingerprints that grace worked to like point out and we put the number of fingerprints on each safe onto the lock in chronological order (so like if they signed out first and they had 3 fingerprints on their safe we would put 3 as the first number) AND THEN THE THING UNLOCKED!! YAY!! and then we like got a bit confused with like a light switch bc it made an alarming noise when we turned it on so we turned it off but then we risked it and turned it on! and we could walk past the line without alarms! we also got a clue out of the safe and it said something like “i like 4 clubs in my favourite game (which is not poker)” and we were like a bit confused? also at the end of the room there was like a glass display with the crown jewels and money inside yay!!! there was a lock on this by the way, which we needed the clue we got to unlock. so first i like went back into the first room and retrieved the poker rules and then vidhi reminded me that it was not poker so i was like hm. and then i remembered the blackjack wall! which conveniently had 4 club cards on!! so i read out the number and the glass display lock unlocked!! YAY!!! we now had access to the crown jewels!! we had found a sheet earlier which put the crown jewels in a certain order and i think the crown jewels had like numbers on them which we put into the final door’s code thing in the order on the sheet!! AND WE GOT OUT!! IN 47 MINUTES!! right on time!!!!! we were so proud of ourselves!!!!! this is my recollection of the room and if u want more detail u can probably ask the others who were in it!! except mischa. im gatekeeping mischa. omg we also like had to wait 10 minutes for the other group i genuinely thought they were stuck in there ☠️

thing #5: escape room 2 (red manor AKA PEOPLE WHO DIDNT MAKE IT OUT 😆)

As the eerie music polluted our ears, Alice howled along with it, scaring Rachael into a scream. We had just unlocked the first door, the walls were covered in blood and the air was mixed with different scents of lavender, lemon, coffee, and… uh, I forgot. Whoopsies. 

The door we had just opened screeched as we stepped into the new room, it was a narrow hallway leading to another room. There were paintings and bones lying on the floor and Alice, once again, howled. 

Jennifer and Rachael then screamed before we started looking for clues. First, we found multiple blocks with numbers on it and then tried unlocking them; turns out Rachael does not know how to unlock padlocks. Once Alice handled it, we saw a shattered mirror inside and nobody wanted to reach our hands into it… So we just used the flashlight to see the numbers. 

Then, to add to the mood, Jennifer, Alice, and Jessica were singing Magnetic and dancing to it to cheer Rachael and I on, because #team-spirit. We opened the other cupboard and a wooden trapdoor dropped… We didn’t drop though, the trapdoor was in the cupboard to scare us. There were again, bones and brain matter in the wardrobe with a safe and a clue. 

I then collected the bones and piled them all up; then some other stuff happened, counted yellow chains, put the numbers in the safe, and got the magnet. We had to use the magnet to bring out a key using a map from the other room, and the magnet was weak too! Clearly Jessica, Jennifer, and Alice weren't channelling the Magnetic energy enough! Come on guys, you had one job :,(

Then the time ended! So the butcher NPC came in and held a knife to mine and Rachael’s throats and laughed at us manically while Jessica, Jennifer, and Alice crouched down and held their heads. I think they were trying to act dead, I don't actually know.

Just kidding, that didn’t happen. But the staff guy didn’t come to collect us once the timer ended so Rachael was like let’s keep going! And in the background Jessica was doing a creepy version of our school song. 

Then after Rachael’s meticulous service, we got the key, well it wasn’t a key it was more of a donut metal thing. Then the staff found us, pointed at all the clues and we found out we hadn’t even completed most of it yet! 

In conclusion, this time I do not want you, you, you, you. And don’t trust magnets, they are not magnetic.

thing #7: photos!

stop this part was like so funny!! we went to life4cuts and it like raised in price shocked emoji! okay so our first variety of photos was just us like struggling to fit into one booth 😭 like half the time we weren’t able to see everyone! it was a bit of a mess 😋 all of our accessories were really kakkoii though AND OMG GRACE AND RACHAEL’S MATCHING BANANA-ESQUE SITUATION!! quite gang! omg i also feel so bad for the worker like i feel like i bothered her so much ! because we had so many technical difficulties.. and in the second one mischa had the idea to make it story based! but we ended up scrapping the story at the end a little for the sake of a fun group picture 😁 i will avoid talking about the contents of the story because you all already think i am conceited enough (even though i am literally the most humble, generous, intelligent, caring, creative person you know?) i wonder about your stances on like meeting me like would you rather have met me and learnt of all of lifes glories before knowing you might lose them or would you rather have like never known me at all and not realise the colours youre missing out on in your naturally black and white lives? it must be so hard for all of you to like have to like accept the fact there might be a future where i am not in your life and therefore your world will become colourless yet again. like for me personally i dont really have that issue (thank god i was born as me!) but like i cant imagine what it must be like for you guys.. you’re lucky i’m so generous and will likely grant you all a lot of my time (please become doctors so i dont have to meet new people to get checkups) idk like if i were you i would meet me rather than not because like even when my path stops crossing with myself at least i have the memories to revisit. oh wait. i don’t. BECAUSE MY MEMORY IS LITERALLY 2GB 😭 that’s what the pictures are for i guess..

thing #8: food

yes so for lunch we ordered on the way back from crown and got GUZMAN!! if you know me you know i love guzman chips. they’re so good. like, SO GOOD. 90% of the time when me and mischa go outside we are eating guzman. OMG OK BUT WHY DOESNT CHADSTONE HAVE GUZMAN LIKE I LITERALLY HAD THE MOST UNSATISFYING MEAL THERE EVER 😠 anyway we also got toppings and tea!! toppings and tea was quite stressful!  i did not know that toppings and tea had a special system i thought it was just like every other boba place but NO! it is so froyo core its crazy!! omg i literally only got the pearls though like me x tapioca yeah but like i feel like i am not getting the best value i can though 😭 not sure if i would go again but it was good for the exp!! ugh also like i can only drink fruit tea because when i drink milk tea it like makes my throat itchy for whatever reason. oh we also went to toppings and tea bc it was next to kmart and mia n had to restock her lipbalm!! yay mia n!! omg wait do you guys remember when we literally met the ceo of toppings and tea randomly? shock! why didnt she give us $10

thing #9: karaoke

okay so we barely got any time for karaoke 😭 a bit ironic considering my initial plan for the day was literally to do karaoke for 6 hours! i seriously want to like do a challenge though like see how long i can karaoke for in there. do you think they would kick me out. please volunteer as tribute (to witness my recordbreaking!) i think the longest ive been in there is 2 hours. omg so i was literally halfway through a conversation with mia n and vidhi before i heard bad romance in the stall next to ours (we split into two stalls) and i just up and left to that stall, finished off bad romance with chi and mischa before returning to them singing toxic! that was so gang. omg and chi is so good at my heart will go on by celine dion!!! that was inspirational!!! 

thing #10: thanks gang

thank u mischa for carrying my bag!!! even though we didnt get to use its content.. rip picnic! and thank you guys all so much! like i normally don’t like labelling stuff but like at this point i think i feel comfortable calling all of you my friends. and i hope we can stay like this for a long time! at least until we can spend 24 hours at kono anyway. i can’t really think of how to explain the general feeling i have for all of you other than calling it gang, so that’s what i’ll go with 🎉 and IF YOU SAY IM LYING LITERALLY SCREW YOU I HAVE NEVER LIED NEVER EVER NEVER 

anyway! i would like to end this newsletter with announcement of michelle’s (tomodachi life) child: harvey. harvey has officially grown up and literally a whole cutscene of his childhood played when i got on it literally is 5 minutes long! it’s quite funny and very heartwarming and again it is 5 minutes long so though i want to i cannot add it to this newsletter. please ask me to see it!!
